Some of them you will find in the websites I listed earlier.

Nature background

Nature inspired web background

The design is beautiful, but I’m not quite sure of the practicality of the method… The tutorial could be used for any other printed document or just a desktop background! :)

Nice websites

Posted by admin on Feb 22, 2010 in inspiration

Today I would like to share some original designs websites I found recently…

charleselenadesign

Charles Elena Design

Very original scrolling pages!
One big page without having the impression of reading a sequence of paragraphs.
Pages are separate, with fun transitions between them. Menu always on top, leading to anchored links.
Love it!! (I love red also, it helps!)

makemaps

They make apps

Still not sure what they sell, but love the consistency of the design! Every element seems to come right from an architect or technical sketch. I understand that this website is a beta… Probably the reason why the page is so small and the info not that clear… Still good design! :)

Reducing an image without loosing quality

Posted by admin on Dec 9, 2009 in Photoshop

If you have a large photo you need much smaller, here’s a helpful hint so you won’t loose so much definition and quality durong the process.

Open your image and just reduce it to half the size it is, as many times you need until you reach the desired size.
Lets say its 1600 by 1200 pixels large. Change the image size to 800 x 600 (IMAGE – IMAGE SIZE – don’t change the resolution. Only the size in pixels).
Reduce it in half again, to 400 x 300. You can do this another time to get a small thumbnail…

Nice tip for web graphics ;)
